At the accident site the team records all relevant information beginning with medical first aid, the environmental conditions, vehicle type and equipment and the deformations. In addition individual interviews with all involved persons are conducted and the accident site and all traces and marks are measured and sketched in detail. The data recording is done digitally with mobile personal computers and has been optimized. Therefore unnecessary delays in the clearance of the accident site caused by the accident research team can be avoided. Additionally to the on spot investigation all information that is available later is also recorded in close cooperation with the police, the hospitals and the EMS.
