Course contents & procedures

VUFO has several years of experience in the field of 3D accident site recording and further processing of the collected data (e.g. in the context of accident reconstruction using PC crash). The aim of the seminar is to teach the basics of 3D recording and the creation of point clouds.

  • Basics of three-dimensional accident scene recording
  • Recording of sample locations using a Leica laser scanner and photogrammetry
  • Preparation of the point clouds in suitable software (e.g. Agisoft Metashape, Leica Cyclon, Cloud Compare)
  • Overview Working with point clouds in PC-Crash
