Since september 2022, Johann Ziegler has taken over the head of the data collection department. He has been employed at VUFO since 2013 and was previously a senior expert in the field of data analysis and simulation. He led and worked on various national and international studies and projects.
Johann studied mechanical engineering at the TU Dresden and graduated with a degree in automotive engineering. During his studies, he gained essential experience in data collection as a student assistant in the GIDAS survey team.
After more than 15 years at VUFO, we say goodbye to Uli Uhlenhof. For the past eleven years, he has been the head of the department at VUFO that is decisively involved in the recording, coding and reconstruction of traffic accidents within the framework of the GIDAS project.
We sincerely thank Uli for his commitment and wish him every success and all the best personally for his new tasks in the traffic management of the city of Dresden.

Vom 01. bis 02. September 2021 fand in Würzburg im Rahmen der SafetyWeek das SafetyUpDate 2021 statt. Die VUFO hat hier erste Ergebnisse des ErVast-Projektes mit Fokus auf der Ableitung von Prüfszenarien auf Basis von realen Unfalldaten im Rahmen eines Vortrags auf der SafetyWeek vorgestellt.

Kürzlich wurde eine neue Vereinbarung vom Landespolizeipräsidenten Horst Kretzschmar (Polizei Sachsen) und Geschäftsführer Henrik Liers (VUFO) im Sächsischen Staatsministerium des Inneren unterzeichnet.
Durch diese Vereinbarung soll die Zusammenarbeit zukünftig intensiviert werden, um auch neue Mobilitätsformen sowie die Automatisierung des Straßenverkehrs zu berücksichtigen. Das Team der VUFO und sächsischen Polizei trägt somit Hand in Hand zu mehr Verkehrssicherheit bei.
