In this continuing education course on accident reconstruction, VUFO provides interested participants with our expert knowledge—divided into three modules—on accident data collection, specific aspects and tasks of an expert witness, theoretical foundations, and practical accident reconstruction.
Module 1: Accident Investigation, Special Considerations, and Expert Witness Activities
Dates: March 10–13, 2027
The objective of this part of the basic training course is to provide foundational knowledge on accident investigation. In addition, specific aspects necessary for the further processing of the collected data will be covered.
Module 2: Theoretical Foundations
Dates: April 7–10, 2027
The objective of this part of the basic training course is to present the theoretical foundations of accident analysis. Participants will gain knowledge of vehicle physics and motion behavior. In addition, topics such as evidence analysis and theoretical accident reconstruction will be covered. The module concludes with an introduction to the fundamentals of biomechanics.
Module 3: Practical Reconstruction
Dates: April 21–24, 2027
The objective of this part of the accident reconstruction training program is to teach practical reconstruction skills. Participants are encouraged to reconstruct sample cases with appropriate guidance. Particular emphasis is placed on collisions involving pedestrians and cars, motorcycles and cars, bicycles and trucks, as well as cars and cars. Basic knowledge of using PC-Crash is required for effective participation in this module.
